Tai chi is an art of embracing the mind, body and spirit. It’s an ancient Chinese martial art often described as a ‘moving meditation’ which involves a series of graceful moments performed in a slow, focussed, relaxed manner and accompanied by deep breathing. This makes it safe for all ages and fitness levels. The ultimate purpose of tai chi is to cultivate the qi (life energy) within us to flow smoothly and powerfully throughout the body.

I have arthritis. Can I do tai chi?

What is qigong?

Qigong an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique which involves meditation, controlled breathing and movements. The exercise promotes qi for self-healing and wellbeing. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the belief that the body consists of a network of energy channels called meridians. Qi travels along these meridians to bring vital energy to the body and organs.
